Simulon

New this weekLast checked

An iPhone app that turns a photo, sketch or text prompt into a 3D asset, lets you place it in your room in AR and act out a scene, then renders a described action as a video.

Our Take

Simulon makes filmmaking feel a bit like playing with toys, and it's one of the few creative AI tools built to be driven entirely from a phone. It isn't new: the app first came out in October 2025. This week's update added Reality-Aware Rendering, which founder Divesh Naidoo says reads "what you do, what you say and the place around you." The App Store lists it in the Oct 23 version 2.1.0 notes, and the company announced it on X on Oct 28. The free credits are a one-time grant limited to Library subjects, so anything with your own assets, or any commercial use, means a paid plan. It suits concept videos, social clips and quick previs.
