VS Code is for developers who want coding agents in the editor. The 1.143 notes add a Compare models preview in the Agents window. You select two or more models, send them one prompt, and each attempt runs in its own session. A Judge model is optional: it scores the attempts and recommends a solution. Synthesize, which builds on the recommended attempt with ideas from the others, starts only when you request it. The preview stays off until you enable sessions.chat.compareAgents.enabled. Source
